Booking
Sessions may be booked through Setmore, but are not confirmed until payment is received. If payment is not received at least 72 hours before the scheduled session—or at the time of booking if the session is within 72 hours—the booking may be canceled to make the time available to others. Appointments must be booked at least 12 hours in advance to provide adequate prep time.
Booking Changes
Cancellations or rescheduling by clients require 24 hours’ notice. Rescheduling requests made later are handled at the tutor’s discretion. The tutor may cancel or reschedule sessions at any time; clients will receive a full refund or free rescheduling for the scheduled session.
Refunds
Refunds for cancellations under 24 hours’ notice, or for no-shows, are handled at the tutor’s discretion. Exceptions can be made for circumstances outside the client’s control. If the situation arises promptly communicate with the tutor about your absence.
Meeting Time
Be prepared to start the session on time. Sessions will start and end on time according to the booking. Session times will not be adjusted for late arrivals unless permitted by the tutor.
Special Pricing
Special pricing options are availible to help address income inequality and provide discounted rates for repeat clients. More information about pricing can be found on the Services webpage.
Standard rate: $55/hour.
- 2+ hours/week → $50/hour
- 5+ hours/week → $45/hour
Tutoring hours must be paid for up front to recieve the discount. Be aware discounts apply only if the hours are used within the same week. Rescheduling can be done up to 9 days after the first session without penalty. If the hours are not used in an appropriate timeframe, the discount will be removed and hours will be charged at the appropriate rate. Payment for the additional hours can be used as a credit to pay for future sessions or the remaining balance can be refunded.
Income-based pricing is availible with confirmation of economic status. Limited slots reserved for disadvantaged students are availible at heavily discount rates. For more information please use the pricing calculator on the Income-Adjusted Pricing webpage.
